Santa Fe School of Massage offers Pre-Natal Massage workshops to give massage therapists expert training for working with women in the childbearing year. Each workshop is 19 hours long and is offered twice a year.

Pregnancy Massage Workshops

April 20 – 22, 2012 or September 21 – 23, 2012

This workshop covers an in-depth overview of physiology and anatomy of pregnancy through each trimester: Topics include changes, common discomforts, applications and benefits of massage, acupressure and healing touch, contraindications and pathologies.  Students will look at working with the couple/family/single/teen and alternative families.  Classes will include demos of Prenatal Massage with supervised practice among students.

About the Instructor:
Elizabeth Rose, RMTI #I-093, is a contemporary Wisdom Keeper not unlike matriarchal women of indigenous communities of the past. She has practiced and taught Massage for the Childbearing Year for 23 years, been a Prenatal Massage Instructor for 18 years, attended 100+ births as a Midwife Assistant and Labor Support Doula, and is a mother to her inspiring 20-year old daughter, Maia. Elizabeth is a skilled and heartful teacher, acknowledged for her gentleness and support of women in their childbearing year. For fifteen years, she has also co-produced and co-hosted a local, socially conscious weekly radio show, Transitions Radio Magazine. Most recently, she has become a Certified Family Constellation Facilitator of Bert Hellinger’s transformational work.
