Erin McMullin, BA, LMT #T4833
703-732-7093

mcmullin.erin@gmail.com
Erin is thrilled to be starting her practice through the Santa Fe School of Massage’s Graduate Clinic cooperative. She enjoys creating a personalized experience for every client, listening to tissue, and integrating therapeutic pressure with relaxing, nurturing flow. The best compliment her work has received so far is that her work is “better than Tiger Balm.” Erin holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College, and graduated from the Santa Fe School of Massage’s 700 hour certification program in March 2012. She is currently continuing her massage therapy education with a 300 hour supplementary course in Holistic Clinical Massage. In a nod to her undergraduate degree, Erin has named her practice Sophrosune Massage Therapy – sophrosune being the classical Greek virtue of moderation, balance, and self-knowledge. Her intent for each session is to hold a space in which to awaken these qualities in her clients’ physical beings, and thereby, support the emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies of the receiver as well.

Lara is passionate about celebrating and honoring embodiment.  She works to help clients cultivate a state of mindfulness and compassion for their own precious selves.  Her work has been described as dancing, nurturing, sensitive, a synthesis of intellect and intuition, and “like a magical fairy who knows how to deliver pressure.”  She studied and taught yoga during college, graduated with her BA from Occidental College with departmental honors, and went on to study massage therapy at the Santa Fe School of Massage (formerly the Scherer Institute of Natural Healing).  She hopes that you will come and enjoy her work, and above all that you will enjoy your body while you are in it.
