ETHICS: The Transgender Body on the Table

This class is an exploration of the myths and realities of working with transgender and intersex clients. Transgender and gender-nonconforming people report the highest rates of discrimination and barriers to healthcare, and they have the highest rates of suicide, substance abuse, and homelessness. Trans folk have some unique physical needs and emotional considerations at different points in their transition. The goal of this class is to create and expand the group of safe practitioners that trans people can access and receive the bodywork they need.
