Myofascial and deep tissue therapy are core componenst of the SFSoM Curriculum. Drawing from Structural Integration theory, Connective Tissue Bodywork provides an understanding of the body’s unified structure and facilitates increased awareness of the body’s organic choices and innate wisdom. This effective approach for working with deep connective tissue is especially beneficial when attending to specific injuries and postural patterns.
The class also incorporates critical thinking assessment and treatment plans. Students practice an integrated therapeutic application of all previously learned bodywork approaches during in-class clinics, as they learn to create unique, individual sessions.
