Community Outreach

The Community Outreach component of the student practicum is inspired by Dr. Jay Scherer himself. Our founder was well known for his willingness to work with individuals from all walks of life. In this spirit, Santa Fe School of Massage encourages students to offer their practicum hours in service to local organizations to benefit those with special needs, such as the elderly, people living with HIV or cancer, and victims of domestic violence. Other students choose to volunteer for events such as the Women’s Health Fair, Peace Day, Friends Forever (children living with cancer), and a variety of sporting events.
